Hello
Wake Island Stats

Stats have been installed on the new server!

Since our new server opened its been recording game logs, but they had nowhere to go. Yesterday we installed the stat tracking system, so all stats from this month (April) are recorded. We're still working some bugs out and getting the stats customized, so bear with us for a couple days, but they're finally back! Click the banner above to visit the stats page, or click HERE!

And lastly, we pay for the server out of our own pockets. If you would like to help, it would be greatly appreciated; even $5 would help! You can donate directly to our server/web hosting fund via paypal by clicking the below link. Alternatively, you can donate directly to our game server host by going HERE.

BF1943 Released!
Team News

DICE's Battlefield Series returns to World War II!

Despite a slow opening day start due to servers being over capacity, I still managed to play a couple hours worth of Battlefield 1943. While die-hard 1942 players might be put off by certain aspects of the game, I found it to be rather enjoyable. DICE's Frostbite engine is definitely a great addition. Nearly anything in the game can destroyed and blown to smithereens: Trees, fences, towers, buildings and much more.
There is definitely an arcade feel to the game, and it plays similar to Battlefield: Bad Company. Gone are the familiar classes from 1942; instead you choose from Rifleman, Infantry, and Scout. The rifleman carries, well, a rifle; the infantryman carries a sub-machine gun (thompson for USMC or type 100 for Japan), and the scout carries a sniper rifle. You have unlimited ammo (still have to reload), and health regeneration (no more medic lockers). Instead of an anti-tank class, each infantry class is equipped with a means to deal with tanks and jeeps: The rifleman has rifle grenades, infantryman a bazooka, and the sniper has TNT.
Pilots need not worry, the Corsair and Zero return. Sorry, no Aichival or SBD though. If you need some bombing runs though, you can make use of an air raid bunker. Getting in it puts you in control of a squadron of three B-25 Liberators that you can guide into any target of your choosing. Regular flying in the corsair or zero is a piece of cake compared to 1942. You have a simple crosshair for aiming and a artificial horizon line in the center of the screen to keep you level. If close, enemy planes will be indicated on your screen by a red plane icon. Once in sight, they will appear with a red circle around them. Despite this handicapped flying system, taking down an enemy fighter can still be a challenge.
Thats all of my first day review for now, check out our forums for more 1943 talk, and don't forget there's always 1942 on our Wake 24/7 server!

Our Wakeclan.com Wake 24/7 server will be moving in the next couple of days. For the time being, we are also discontinuing our balls to the wall server, along with our infantry server. We would like to focus our efforts on keeping the games fun at wake, along with getting more players in. Expect the server to be moved no later than March 31st. The name will remain the same, but the IP address will change. You should still be able to find us by typing "wake" into the server name filter in battlefield.

I will update this page when new information arrives. Check back here for updates! See you on the battlefield,

Berlin/Stalin Infy server up!!
Battlefield 1942

WakeClan.com Berlin/Stalin 24/7

Server IP 208.122.52.54:14567

...is now up and running!

Berlin is modded for complete infantry; no nades, extra packs on the ground for you to use (thompson, BAR, M1 garand, etc).

Stalingrad is modded for a little nade practice: You get three nades per life or kit, and they do not reload at ammo boxes. There are also kits to pick up on this map as well (ground floor of team hotels).

Give it a try!
